Animal Rights Organizations
There are several animal rights organizations in the United States. The most prevalent are PETA and HSUS. Each of these organizations has a purpose and agenda.
This assignment fulfills:
Module Objective 2: You will have described animal rights organizations and their agendas regarding animal production.
Student Learning Outcome 1: You will have described the importance of animal production and explained the major issues related to the production of livestock on an international, national, and state level.
In this assignment, you will choose an animal rights organization and research its purpose, agenda, budget, and other pertinent information.
Address the following questions within your paper:
1. Describe the purpose of the animal rights organization.
2. Describe public relations of these organizations (commercials, spokespeople, etc)
3. Describe the budget of the organization. (Money spent on animals vs. money spent on administration)
4. Pros and cons of the organization.
